The Top Job Search Engines in Ireland for Job Seekers

I don't know about you, but job searching can feel overwhelming at times. Sifting through tons of listings, crafting tailored applications, and waiting anxiously to hear back is no fun. But having the right tools at your fingertips can make the process smoother. As someone who recently spent months searching for my current role, I want to share the job search engines in Ireland and sites I found most useful when looking for work in Ireland.

  • Indeed.com

Indeed is one of the most popular job aggregators out there. It gathers listings from all over the web, so you can find openings at various companies and agencies in one place. I probably applied to more roles on Indeed than anywhere else while job hunting. One thing I like is that you can filter by location, salary, job type, and more. They also have handy tools like resume builder and an interview prep guide. Around 200,000 Irish jobs are advertised on Indeed, so it's a go-to resource.

  • IrishJobs.ie

If you're looking for roles specifically at Irish companies, IrishJobs.ie is worth checking out. As Ireland's largest indigenous job site, they work directly with local employers to share opportunities. I found smaller businesses listed here that weren't on the big global sites.

IrishJobs makes it easy to set up job alerts and gives tips on how to fine-tune your applications for the Irish market. I'd recommend using their CV builder too. Since they're based here, they know exactly what Irish recruiters are looking for.

  • WorkClass.co

Speaking of great local resources, WorkClass is amongst the top job search engines for Irish jobs that I used during my search. A big perk is that you can quickly filter listings by county, so I honed in on jobs in the part of Ireland I wanted to live in.

The job search and alert features are really intuitive. I also love that they have a dedicated public sector section, which came in handy for my local authority job hunt. If you're looking for a role with an Irish employer, be sure to harness the power of WorkClass. I'm beyond grateful I did!

  • PublicJobs.ie

If you specifically want to work in Ireland's public sector, PublicJobs.ie aggregates all of those openings in one place. I liked that I could browse by government department and county. Being able to set custom email alerts for new postings was clutch too.

This site provides helpful Q&As about public sector interviews, benefits, and more. As someone new to the public sector hiring process, I found it invaluable for breaking it all down.

  • IrishJobs.ie

Any list of the top job search engines in Ireland wouldn’t be complete without this one - Jobs.ie is an amazing resource. With over 10,000 active job listings, I often found opportunities here that I didn't see elsewhere. You can even check out company reviews to get the inside scoop during your search.

Jobs.ie has a top-notch CV builder and lets you book 1:1 career coaching sessions. I took advantage of both to take my job hunt up a notch. Their email templates for cover letters and follow-ups also helped me stand out.

  • Glassdoor.ie

In your Irish job search, Glassdoor is handy for researching companies and salaries. You can browse ratings and reviews from current and past employees to see the inner workings of a business. Although technically not a top Irish job search engine, it is definitely a top tool to use, I ruled out a few roles based on the feedback I saw here.

Glassdoor also lets you compare Irish salaries across industries. This gave me a clearer sense of reasonable pay expectations when negotiating offers. Use it to your advantage!

Job hunting can take months, so persistence is key. I'd recommend checking all these sites frequently and setting up alerts. Cast a wide net by getting on all the top Irish job search engines and applying to any suitable role; you never know where it might lead!
