Conduct frequent checks in the office, warehouse, tools and equipment as well as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Plan and implement safety policy as well as ensure the respective teams obeying safety rules
Assist team in the identification and/or clarification on safety related matters and advice on hazards or control measures
Conduct safety induction briefing and course for employees
Recommend safety measures, safe work procedures and environmental matters
Disseminate information from HQ on safety updates, incident sharing and/or new initiatives
Conduct safety briefings in toolbox meetings
Conduct incident investigations
Prepare incident investigation reports including recommending disciplinary action in the event of safety violations
Report on HIPO and near misses
Prepare EHS work plans
Report on monthly EHS Statistics
Cover duty for other EHS officers if required
Any other assigned tasks or duties
Requirements
Job Requirement
Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Occupational Hygiene, Ergonomics, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry or other relevant discipline to Occupational Safety and Health
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in logistic industry
Successfully completed a course in relation to WSH Officer (i.e. Safety Officer Training Course)
Familiar with OHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001 & risk management procedures
Possess a high level of initiative and integrity
Able to work Independently and possess good interpersonal skills
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Proactive, independent, able to work with minimal supervision and perform under pressure
Preferred to have own mode of transportation as candidate is required to travel around different work locations
