Process Engineer

$2600 to $3600 (Monthly)

Job Description & Requirements



  • To establish and document new plastic injection tool qualification with optimized molding perimeter before handing of the tooling to production for mass production.

  • To coordinate mold trials, tooling, and molded part troubleshooting and carry out necessary engineering changes to ensure parts can be produced smoothly at the required quality leve

  • Technical coordination and checks for the initial mold trials and setups;

  • Document tool trial observations and recommend appropriate tooling modification/rectification.

  • Conduct molding process window optimization and conduct necessary DoE, OQ & PQ tooling validation when needed.

  • Ensure smooth transfer and handing over of information to Production Team for mass production.

  • Support Production to resolve downstream production issues.

  • Support Production in areas like molding process optimization, implement manufacturing fixtures, and automation to maximize production output.




Job Requirement:



  • Process technical observation & analytical ability and come out with appropriate technical solutions.

  • Self-motivated team player with positive mindset/attitude in development & manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to Documentation and filing of molding perimeter (with samples) for traceability and reference purposes for production technicians.

  • Involve in molding perimeter review, tooling optimization, and production automation activities.

  • With past experiences for processing or manufacturing micro precision molded parts.

  • Prior working experiences in cleanroom manufacturing;

  • Familiar with the handling of Babyplast/DrBoy injection units, High-Speed Sodick & Sumitomo Injection machines;

  • Contribute in upfront part & tooling design reviews and recommendations before tool launch;

  • Technical coordination and checks for the initial mold trials and setups;

  • Document tool trial observations and recommend appropriate tooling modification/rectification.

  • Conduct molding process window optimization and conduct necessary DoE, OQ & PQ tooling validation when needed.

  • Ensure smooth transfer and handing over of information to Production Team for mass production.

  • Support Production to resolve downstream production issue.

  • Support Production in areas like molding process optimization, implement manufacturing fixtures and automation to maximize production output.

  • Support Program in the initial sample submission to customer prior part approval;

  • Assist Quality Team in the design and fabrication of test/measurement fixtures.


Job Requirement:



  • Familiar with molding perimeter  optimize technique/work like use of process DoE, Gate-Seal Studies, OQ & PQ validation concepts etc.

  • Process technical observation & analytical ability and come out with appropriate technical solutions.

  • Self-motivated team player with positive mindset/attitude in development & manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to Documentation and filing of molding perimeter (with samples) for traceability and reference purposes for production technicians.

  • Involve in molding perimeter review, tooling optimization and production automation activities.

  • With pass experiences for processing or manufacturing of micro precision molded parts.

  • Prior working experiences in clean room manufacturing;

  • Familiar with tooling fabrication & maintenance works;

  • Familiar with handling of Babyplast/DrBoy injection units, High Speed Sodick & Sumitomo Injection machines;

  • Familiar with 3D software for part/tooling checking or jig making studies;
