The Singapore Department of Statistics is the National Statistical Authority responsible for statistics on the Singapore economy and population.


We collect, compile, analyse and disseminate a wide range of economic, business, household and population data, as well as analyse and monitor trends in the economy and population.


With these vital inputs, policymakers, business decision makers and our data users gain valuable insights into current and emerging economic and social trends, enabling them to make calculated and informed decisions in the formulation of policies and strategies for the future. Apart from public agencies and businesses, our users also include researchers, analysts, educators, students, the media and the general public.

Job Description


You will be responsible for managing and supporting the talent management and capability building for the Department, including the review and implementation of related HR policies and procedures. There will also be opportunities for you to participate in ad-hoc projects.



  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review workforce plans and identify strategies and interventions to close manpower and capabilities gaps.

  • Identify capability development needs and priorities, and draw up learning plans.

  • Work with internal and external partners, vendors and providers to develop broad-based and specialised programmes and courses.

  • Engage stakeholders on learning intent, evaluation of learning effectiveness evaluation and areas for improvement.

  • Apply data analytics to generate insights for planning and evaluation.




Job Requirements



  • Diploma holder and above

  • Familiarity with human resource practices will be an added advantage

  • Meticulous and well-organised

  • Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and analytical skills

  • A self-starter who can work well independently and in a team

Job Description

Job Description

 

As a Management Executive Officer (Statistical), you will plan, manage and implement activities on data acquisition, processing, integration, compilation, analysis and dissemination. You will also provide data support to users, manage and develop statistical systems/databases, and carry out enhancements of work processes.

 

Job Requirements



  • Possess knowledge or experience in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or subjects with substantial quantitative content (e.g. Accountancy, Information Technology)

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to learn and apply new statistical/analytical techniques quickly

  • Experience in data processing and database management is preferred

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

As a Senior Executive/Executive, you will provide statistical support in survey design and operations, respondent management, data editing and verification, servicing data requests, and system development projects.



Job Requirements



  • Possess knowledge or experience in Statistics, Business Administration, Business Studies, Banking & Finance, or Accountancy

  • Knowledge of MS Office preferred

  • Good analytical and numerical skills

  • Effective supervisory and communication skills

  • Meticulous and has an eye for details

  • Customer-oriented and a team player
