Responsibilities


1. You will be part of a team in the Industry Development Department responsible for attracting, retaining and developing a competent and competitive workforce for the Energy sector as well as developing power engineering capabilities for the Public Service.


2. You will work with a dynamic team on manpower planning, retention and training development for the power sector to ensure a healthy pipeline of talent as the sector transforms. This includes working closely with stakeholders such as the energy industry, union, and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) in mapping out skills required by the sector and implementing initiatives to ensure a competent workforce.


3. As part of our efforts to build up power engineering capabilities for the Public Service, you will work on initiatives aimed at attracting talent and retaining the workforce. This includes coming up with outreach, branding and training programmes and competency frameworks for the Public Service.


4. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to areas such as administration and governance of training schemes and frameworks.


 


Requirements



  • 3 years or more of relevant experience is preferred.

  • Experience in dealing with grants and governance in the public sector would be an advantage.

  • Good analytical, interpersonal and communication (written and spoken) skills.

  • Possess a flair for numbers, data analysis and is meticulous.

  • Independent, self-motivated individual with the ability and tenacity to work under tight timelines, work well in teams and manage multiple stakeholders across various levels (e.g. youths, senior management).


Remuneration and appointment will commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Engineer (Electricity System Department)

Responsibilities

Officer is required to:

  • Review risk assessment of power sector's Critical Information Infrastructures (CII)
  • Establish guidelines for Critical Information Infrastructure Officers' (CIIO) response to cyber incidents
  • Review technical requirements for cyber security
  • Review cyber security measurement frameworks
  • Work on initiatives to strengthen power sector's cyber resiliency and capability
  • Review and enforce legislation and codes of practice
  • Develop performance standards and technical regulatory frameworks for electricity licensees' compliance
  • Investigate power failure and voltage dip incidents, and breaches of legislation, performance standards and codes of practice; and recommend regulatory actions to be taken
  • Other duties may also be assigned from time to time

Requirements

  • Specialisation in Electrical Engineering
  • Keen interest in power system engineering and cyber security.

Engineer (Inspectorate Department)

Responsibilities


Officer will work in a team to support the following:



  • Assessment of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) compliance with technical & safety regulation including TR25 and any other regulations for the safe installation and use of EVSE

  • Engage agencies on technical assessments and reviews matters related to new technological equipment such as Energy Storage

  • System, Solar PV Generator installed in Electrical Installations to ensure functional and safety requirements can be met

  • Enforcement of compliance with established regulations, codes of practice and standards of LEWs and electrical and supply installations, including assisting in investigations on electrical incidents


Requirements



  • Specialise in Electrical Engineering

  • Eligible to register as a professional engineer in Singapore.


 


Remuneration and appointment will commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities



  • You will be part of a team to develop and manage a multi-year, nationwide gas network project which will span across residential, commercial and industrial sectors. You will work together with the team to define the project objectives, develop detailed work plans, and oversee quality control while ensuring that the project meets stipulated deadlines and is delivered within budget

  • The scope of work includes the coordination of communications, technical and regulatory departments within the company and the efficient allocation of resources to meet project goals. Besides playing a coordinating role, you will also have to critically analyze both the policies and operations of the project to secure its smooth delivery

  • You will need to work closely with external stakeholders to ensure that legal, security and financial requirements are met.


Requirements



  • Specialisation in Business, Engineering and/or Economics

  • Relevant experience in project management of nationwide rollouts and/or in the gas industry is an advantage

  • Excellent analytical, coordination and communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Ability to work under tight timelines and to manage and engage with multiple stakeholders

  • Committed team player, with a strong interest to shape the future of Singapore's energy industry
