Responsibilities



  • Hardware Support - Installations, Move, Add, Change

  • Decommission of IT equipment (networks, servers, networks, storage, backup devices

  • Connect and disconnect cable patches to equipment in DC

● Offer pre-sales support and technical leadership on field sales opportunities from discovery, solution development, assessment, design and technical deal closure.


● Act as technical liaison to OEM, infrastructure, software and cloud partners, including

Responsibilities


● Hardware Support - Installations, Move, Add, Change


● Decommission of IT equipment (networks, servers, networks, storage, backup devices


● Media management - HDD/SSD Destruction and Disposals


● Connect and disconnect cable patches to equipment in DC


● Hardware break fix support - Installation of parts, reseat module, SFP module replacement including HDD / Memory / Mainboard, etc.


● Regular physical / visual inspection equipment and data centre operations facilities.


● Provide onsite support during scheduled power down / up event


● Troubleshooting of issues for IT and network related equipment


● Inventory management - Management of DCO Inventory records


● Perform regular cycle count for asset inventory for accuracy


● Rack, space, power and cooling allocations for new install or relocation requests


● Inventory/Documentation updates for new installation of structured cabling and material


● Capacity management (space, power, cooling, patch panel port availability)


● Understanding of DC Space, Power, Cooling Management


● Vendor Management - Coordination, Vendor Escort / Supervision


● Understanding of Incident and Change Management Process


● DC Access Request Management


● POP Site operations support and standby


● Provide regular reporting on progress as required (move, change, support request and change)


● Regular reporting, maintain and develop with continuously improvement capabilities


● Provide after business hours support based on on-call schedule and shift work when required.


● Any other duties as assigned




Requirements




● Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the Data Centre operations space


● Good understanding and knowledge in data structured cabling and patching


● Experienced in hardware support, breakfix and troubleshooting.


● Ability to respond to issues and provide timely updates, and escalation


Experience working in a large scale critical environment is a plus

Overview


The Technical Account Manager’s primary focus will be on Infrastructure Solutions for the Data Center, Compute / Networks / Storage and Virtualization Solutions, configuration and support assistance to Sales staff. This resource will also have sales responsibilities as well that may involve quoting and aligning resources from other teams to satisfy the needs of the customer.


The Technical Account Manager will work with our VP of Strategic Accounts and help develop the tactical strategy and aspects of the entire account. The VP of Strategic Accounts will carry the responsibility of the Strategic direction in the Accounts and the Technical Account Manager will bridge the tactical and technology account strategy with the customer.


The Technical Account Manager will liaison internally with Services, Engineering, Logistics, Operations to ensure the success of project deliveries, goals for the customer.




Responsibilities


● Assist in technology solution selling.


● Assist in training and educating of both engineers and sales representatives on new products and solutions.


● Provide technical information to post engineers on installation and configurations as well as the professional services involved in the sale.


● Provide technical assistance and information to post-sales engineers regarding design and configuration


● Provide available competitive information to representatives.


● Present technical briefings to Client Executives and Sr. IT Staff.


● Facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers including conceptual design and white boarding sessions.


● Assist the Sales Group with Requests for Quotes / Information, Bids and Proposals.


● Continue to educate on new cutting-edge technologies to assist the client in their technology direction.


● Understand and abide by all security and operational polices.




Qualifications


● Knowledge of arranging and conducting webinars and presentations.


● Excellent technical and business writing skills.


● Ability to create Bill-of-Materials and technical drawings for solution proposals.


● Creation and development of product and services quotes.


● Prior experience in selling complete Infrastructure, Enterprise IT and AV Solutions to customers.

  • Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes

  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Multiple years of financial and account reporting
