YOU WILL:



  • Be responsible for the cloud infrastructure in terms of: scalability, availability, performance, (cost & resource) efficiency, capacity planning;

  1. Be responsible for system administration tasks such as OS & application patching, software upgrades, backup, restore, etc. for our cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure);

  2. Drive troubleshooting, incident response/ resolution and blameless post-mortems;

  3. Be responsible to maintain services once they go live by measuring and monitoring availability, performance, and overall system health;

  4. Strive to streamline and secure cloud infrastructure management by proactively monitoring and protecting system boundaries, application deployment and release status, automating manual tasks, and keeping systems secured.



  • Spend most of the time on development tasks such as writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), continuous improvement, and driving initiatives to improve automation, scalability and reliability:



  1. Develop automation code for change control, configuration management, deployment and maintenance of infrastructure and applications through CI/CD pipeline;

  2. Improve service resiliency through high levels of automation, to effectively detect/ predict/ prevent issues in the environment;

  3. Develop and fine-tune change & incident management processes across teams;

  4. Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation; evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity;

  5. Automate provisioning by IaC and Configuration-as-Code (CaC);

  6. Review resource/ workload to optimise cost.


YOU HAVE:



  • To enjoy cloud, systems and security management, and relentlessly automating work.

  • Related cloud experience attested by certifications in SysOps, DevOps (AWS preferred).

  • Three or more years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining systems running on Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).

  • Proven experience in various IaC/ CaC tools. E.g., Ansible, Terraform.

  • Hands-on experience administering Unix & Windows operating systems as well as automating with shell scripts.

  • Implement enterprise integration patterns using a message/ integration bus to create a reusable framework for future applications;

  • Write high quality & maintainable code with test automation incorporated to maintain a high-quality code culture;

  • Work with the infrastructure team on deploying, scaling and performance optimization to maintain our Service Level Objectives;

  • Champion continuous improvement to the quality of solutions delivery using agile practices, CI/CD toolchain and automated testing frameworks to ensure quality and time-to-market;

  • Be the subject matter expert providing consultation & guidance in your areas of expertise to become the valuable go-to expert;

  • Keep abreast of the latest development in the modern web application, cloud and security landscape to broaden skills and develop other areas of expertise.


YOU HAVE:



  • A degree in Computer Science/ Studies/ Engineering or Information Systems or equivalent;

  • 2-3 years of modern web applications development experience;

  • Mastery in modern web applications development using Java and JavaScript;

  • Experience in harnessing open-source software packages for project needs taking into consideration the license & support;

  • Experience in CI/CD and test automation;

  • Experience in agile development methodologies;
