Established in 1906, the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) is an internationally renowned business organisation and the apex body of the Chinese business community in Singapore. It is the founder of the biennial World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention and the World Chinese Business Network (www.wcbn.com.sg), a global online business information protal. It plays a key and pro-active role in representing the interests of the local business community. In its continued drive for service excellence, the SCCCI has become the first business chamber in the region to be awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification since 1995. In 2009, the Chamber successfully upgraded its ISO certification to ISO 9001:2008.

The SCCCI has a membersip network of 151 trade associations and 4.000 corporate entities including large financial and business organisations, multinational crporations, government-linked companies, and small medium enterprises from a wide spectrum of trades and industries. These members together provide vast resources and opportunities which enable the SCCCI to develop an influential global Chinese business network for business, education, culture an community development. In return, they share a strong sense of pride and identity together and benefit immensely from the SCCCI's membership services, facilities and activities.

Responsibilities:


• conceptualises cultural, social, education and community-related projects and events that enhance our organisation's branding.

• plans functional strategies as part of the strategic planning process to achieve the goals set by the Culture, Education and Community Affairs Committee.

• supervises and organises cultural, social, education and community-related projects and events.

• liaises and negotiates with vendors and stakeholders.

• handles post-event reports and meeting minutes.

• undertake ad-hoc duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Requirements:


• have a Degree in Event management, Arts, Chinese Studies or other relevant discipline.

• have minimum 6 years of working experience in Strategic Planning and/or Corporate planning/development functions, at least 2 years of experience in managing a team.

• are a strategic thinker with strong critical thinking and project management skills.

• have excellent command of the English and Chinese language with strong writing, speaking and presentation skills.

• are energetic, driven, adaptable, has good initiative and is able to multi-task and cope well when working under pressure and against tight timelines.

• are meticulous with details and able to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

• are savvy in digital communications.

• have an analytical mind with good problem-solving ability.

• are proficient in MS Office Applications.

The role requires an articulate, motivated and hands-on professional who is passionate about coordination and Secretariat works for the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention and its related meetings in seamless coordination with global Chinese Chambers.




To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications.




We are looking for someone who:



  • Works as part of the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) Secretariat to prepare meeting programmes.

  • Writes and prepares information notes and meeting minutes in Chinese language for all stakeholders.

  • Compiles, prepares and distributes meeting documents and reports.

  • Obtains and prints texts of all speeches and documents tabled.

  • Prepares and facilitates the registration and accreditation process for stakeholders for meetings.

  • Prepares general information and administrative note for stakeholders.

  • Liaison and logistics arrangements for inbound visits to the Chamber.

  • Oversees and manages all protocol matters.

  • Develops plans and work schedules to meet protocol requirements.

  • Oversees and manages meetings needs of stakeholders.

  • Oversees and manages WCEC Secretariat mobile app and website.


You are the right person if you:



  • have a degree in Chinese studies, mass communication, international relations or equivalent.

  • have minimum 2 – 4 years of working experience in Secretariat works.

  • have excellent command of the Chinese language with strong writing, speaking and presentation skills.

  • are competent in English, both speaking and writing.

  • have strong ability and passion for writing.

  • are a strategic thinker with strong critical thinking and project management skills.

  • have prior experience and proven skills in organising or managing major events would be an advantage.

Assistant Manager, Marketing and Social Media

Job Description



  • Help to formulate the social media strategy for Chamber including SME Centre and IOB

  • Curate the different social media platforms from websites to databases (video depository and resource libraries), mobile apps, Facebook and LinkedIn etc so that it is a coherent whole

  • Work with SCCCI internal stakeholders to enhance website features while monitor, analyse and improve website's overall & SEO performance

  • Conduct marketing campaign to achieve targeted audience or participation or enrolment numbers

  • Educate Chamber staff in the use of social media tools and basic analytics

  • Achieve an online presence to better serve the stakeholders of the Chamber

  • Manage and maintain SCCCI's website and be the link with relevant technical vendors

  • Responsible for website's vulnerability and security, working with relevant technical vendors


Job Requirements



  • Have a basic degree in marketing and/or related fields

  • Have a diploma in social media marketing

  • Have relevant work experience (2 years) in conducting social media campaigns


It will be an advantage if candidate has the followings:



  • Being an avid videographer

  • Have relevant work experience in website development and website maintenance

  • Proficient in programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and API

  • A full-stack web developer who is able to:



  1. Program a browser (like using JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, or Vue, Graphic Design / UI design)

  2. Program a server (like using PHP Framework – Yii Framework, ASP, or Node, & Security issues)
