Quality Engineer / Senior Quality Engineer (Materials)


Structo is currently looking for a Quality Engineer / Senior Quality Engineer to manage quality activities in the production of resins and assurance of Quality of incoming materials and chemicals. The Engineer will be responsible for carrying out failure analysis and resolution of Quality problems in these areas. The Engineer will also be required to develop and implement analytical techniques to assess the Quality of materials and troubleshoot Quality problems with the materials


Responsibilities:



  • Lead in the investigation, Root Cause analysis and resolution of Quality problems in the production of resins.

  • Ensure incoming materials and chemicals are properly assess on Quality prior to production use.

  • Develop and implement analytical techniques for assessing Quality and troubleshooting quality issues of materials and chemicals.

  • Participate in Product and Process Qualification activities to ensure product quality meet the specified requirements.

  • Develop statistical techniques for monitoring stability of production processes.

Requirements:



  • Bachelors / Masters / PhD degree in Material Science / Material Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Senior Quality and Regulatory Engineer


Structo is currently looking for an experienced Quality and Regulatory Engineer to manage the production quality activities in the Materials division, as well as maintaining the Safety certification for our 3D printers. The candidate will be responsible to ensure that Structo products comply with ISO 9001 and various regulatory requirements. He/She will support the Materials engineering and production team to perform failure analysis and prevent defect recurrences. The candidate will also be supporting the Quality Manager in sustaining an effective Quality Management System in Structo


Responsibilities:



  • Ensure continued compliance of 3D printers to relevant regulatory requirements (CE, NRTL).

  • Compilation of technical dossiers, regulatory submissions for target markets

  • Lead in the resolution and Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) for production quality issues.

  • Drive implementation of quality standards and methodology as well as manufacturing quality improvement projects.

  • Responsible for gathering, analysing and timely reporting of Quality related data.

QA/QC Technician


Structo is looking for an experienced and highly analytical QA/QC Technician to join our quality department. As a QA/QC Technician, your main responsibility includes handling day to day incoming and production inspection activities to ensure that products meet quality expectations. The candidate is also expected perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the quality process.


Responsibilities:



  • Work in chemical wet-lab environment to perform QC tests of production batches.

  • Responsible of QA/QC data collection and data entry.

  • Assist in product technical report preparation.

  • Work closely with Production team to carry out QC tests in a timely and planned manner.

  • Conduct all laboratory tests and measurements in accordance with procedures.

  • Perform maintenance of all laboratory equipment and up-keeping of records.

  • Maintain and check R&D chemical inventory.

  • Conduct inspection of all incoming goods for R&D and data logging on inventory software.

  • Maintain and check inventory as required in a timely manner as detailed under ISO.

Senior Software Engineer (Backend)


We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) for our team. This candidate will design, develop, and maintain Structo’s cloud system with the focus on availability, security and low latency. And develop and maintain Structo’s manufacturing automation system with the focus on reliability and security.


Responsibilities:



  • Design, develop, test, support and deploy web applications.

  • Gather customer software requirements and develop related applications.

  • Coordinate with architects and business analysts to determine application functionalities.

  • Research and evaluate software related technologies and products.

Electrical Controls Engineer


Structo is looking for the right Electrical Control Engineer who will design, develop, and supervise all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. He/she is responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. This person will work under minimal supervision and interface with other internal teams in charge of both customers and vendors, all of which are essential to achieving the company’s goal of on-time delivery and high-quality products.


As part of this responsibility, this role requires a high level of organization, creativity, attention to detail, and engineering knowledge to successfully perform design, engineering and field start up responsibilities for System Integration in Electrical Controls for both Factory Automation and/or Medical Appliance/Device Development. In addition, proven troubleshooting skills are necessary, and this person will be involved in collaborative activities as well as effectively communicating project progress and information with the wider Automation team.


Responsibilities:



  • Participate in a portfolio of projects as part of the Automations Team to ensure projects are on time, on budget, and meet performance requirements.

  • Work closely with internal team to deliver prototypes without delay and at cost that are aligned to the automation team’s expectations.

  • System Architecture including non-standard material and control panel power requirements/distribution, and help to form & review electrical/control architecture of the automation line

  • Responsible for making a seamless connection between Structo native equipment (3D Printers) and various automation components (PLC or otherwise)

  • Review specifications and standard practices – inclusive of the internal hardwired and logic standards, general specifications, and regulatory scope of work (UL, CE, etc.)

  • Design requirements which include establishing non-standard designs, generating system map layouts, generating a sequence of operations, reviewing cycle time studies and dimension switch layouts, generation of design packages, design logic, enter logic, program development, program optimization, debugging and design of Smart Displays etc.

  • Identify suppliers for components and procure electrical engineering prototype components

  • Identifies continuous improvement of existing products and keeps an up to date record by regularly contributing to the failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system (FRACAS).

  • Addresses issues brought about by feedback from customers and improves performance and impact of product to the client

  • Assisting with installation and troubleshooting with no additional support.

  • Initiates, executes, and leads design control activities together with other internal teams to host brainstorms and other idea creation activities.

  • Writes, monitors, and reviews test plans and test reports based on the findings in FRACAS.

Structo is looking for an experienced Mechanical Systems Engineer to help drive the development of our next-generation 3D printing products and manufacturing systems. You will be involved in the full product development lifecycle of our printers from helping shape the vision and plan. Close collaboration with our cross-disciplinary R&D team will allow you to work effectively with rapid feedback from product designers, test engineers, chemical formulations experts, and manufacturing technicians.


Within our engineering team, you will design, analyze, and optimize complex mechanical systems, support System Integration partners and work with product suppliers to deliver our next generation products.   • Lead or support the development of specifications for mechanical components, subsystems, and systems.

  • Lead the development of detailed Process flow, CTQ, CTP, PFMEA, DFM and V&V documentation packages.

  • Develop and coordinate DOEs to optimize/improve product margin and determine component and system performance/feasibility, manufacturing procedures and process specifications.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree/Master in Mechanical Engineering

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical product design, mid to low volume custom mechanical product development preferred.

  • Experience with precision mechanisms desired - linear stages, linkage systems, tool changers and other systems requiring precise movement / control.

  • Experience integrating electronics to drive mechanical components.

  • Strong CAD skills needed Solidworks is required.

  • Strong understanding of Tolerance Analysis.

  • Experience using FEA to optimize structural components and systems.

  • Understanding of the Reliability Testing required to qualify for hardware

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable and easy to work with.

  • Good analytical and presentation skills.


Advantageous Skills:



  • Experience with LabView, MATLAB, Python, feedback control systems.

Lead Electronics Engineer


Structo is looking for an experienced Lead Electrical / Electronics Engineer (7-10yrs) to help drive the development of our next-generation 3D printing products and technologies. You will be involved in the full product development of our printer, lead a team of EEs and help architect our products. Close collaboration with our cross-functional R&D team will allow you to work effectively with rapid feedback from mechanical engineers, FW engineers, product designers, test engineers, chemical formulation experts, and manufacturing technicians.


Within our engineering team you will architect, and develop embedded control systems, motion control power electronics and safety systems with a sound understanding of manufacturability and regulatory compliance. Your independent and methodical work ethic and strong creative abilities will help you succeed in this role.


Responsibilities:



  • System level EE architecture.

  • Team lead and subject matter expert for Electrical / Electronics engineering.

  • Design and development of electronic systems for our next generation 3D printers.

  • Design, maintain, implement, and improve PCB components, electrical system, and power electronics of existing and new products.

  • Collaborate with mechanical, software and materials science engineer to successfully develop, test, validate and manufacture hardware.

  • Design Test System Instrumentation.

  • Test, debug, and troubleshooting at module and system level.

  • Product testing for environmental and certification standards.

  • Prepare necessary design and manufacturing documents.

  • Provide technical support to Quality and Compliance teams during the qualification phase.

  • Work with the Sustaining Engineering team to resolve the production issues..


Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

  • At least 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in designing hardware for commercial products.

  • Design experience with Microcontroller / Microprocessor, Memory, Communication links (SPI, I2C, Ethernet, USB, WiFI, RFID), Motor Drives, Sensors.

  • Experience with PCB Design tools like Altium, KiCAD, etc.

  • Design Experience for SI and PI, EMI/EMC compliance.

  • Strong in Hardware & System level troubleshooting.

  • Basic understanding of firmware programs for Microcontroller, SOC and SOM


Advantageous Skills:



  • NI LabView or other instrumentation software proficiency desirable.
