Private Banking Business Compliance Manager

$5000 to $10000 (Monthly)

We are representing our client, a large Chinese Bank to look for an experienced Private Banking Business Compliance Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review client / counterparties / service providers’ documentation / agreement to perform due diligence and risk assessment for on-boarding purpose.

  • Perform periodic KYC review of Private Banking clients and annual review of counterparties/service providers as part of ongoing monitoring.

  • Assess the business impact in regulation changes and assist in implementation of changes in the business platform.

  • Facilitate internal training in Private Banking.

  • Handle complaints and PDPA matters.

  • Liaise with Human Resources Department on the course application for licensed representatives for the completion of CPD hours.

  • Work with other departments and 3rd parties for the relevant reporting requirements and to resolve any ad-hoc regulatory/compliance-related matters.

  • Attend to requests or queries from Legal & Compliance, internal auditors and external auditors on business compliance related matters.

  • Maintain up to date Private Banking policies and procedures related to business compliance functions.


  • 5 -10 years of relevant experience in compliance functions in Private Banking or Wealth Management industry.

  • Familiar with local and international regulations related to compliance functions (e.g. MAS Notice 626 on Preventing Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism for Banks, PDPA, FATCA, PB Code of Conduct and MAS Guidelines on PB Controls).

  • Experience in using independent sources for screening. e.g. Dow Jones, Refinitiv.

  • Experience in KYC review requirements for Private Banking clients.

  • Experience in review of counterparties and have knowledge of PB Investment Suitability framework.

  • Understand the importance of compliance, controls and escalation processes.

  • Meticulous and well-versed in reporting and documentation.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team player.

  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter and be adaptable.

Project Manager (Applications)

We are representing our client (A Cyber Security Firm) to look for an experienced Project Manager (Applications) to complement their existing team.


  • The role requires effective co-ordination of the projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising.

  • Planning and designing the project and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action

  • Defining the program's governance arrangements

  • Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the projects

  • Managing the project budget

  • Facilitating the appointment of individuals and resources to project teams

  • Managing third party contributions to the program

  • Managing communications with all stakeholders

  • Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects

  • Working with the business change manager or equivalent on the transition to the new business as usual position

  • Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the program are identified or issues arise

  • Reporting the progress of the program to key stakeholders


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent disciplines

  • Minimum 5 years direct work experience in project manager capacity

  • Required Skill(s): .NET, XML, Web Services, Agile Development, API, ASP.Net MVC and/or. Net Core web applications

  • Familiar with cloud-based technologies and architectures (AWS, Azure or GCP); AWS know-how is preferred

IT Database Administrator

$7000 to $7500 (Monthly)

We are representing our client (a healthcare group) to look for a Database Administrator (DBA) with experience in Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL administration as well as migration project from on-premise to AWS.


  • Manage day to day support of operational tasks, requests, incidents and changes.

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert on technologies - MS SQL & Oracle and Open Source Database and including database schema designing, assessments and performance tuning.

  • Maintain databases by capacity planning, conducting database backups, monitoring logs for potential problems, monitoring software database license process, managing technical action reports to resolve software issues, performing software upgrades and patches; enhance and build database designs; Integrate old systems data with new system; setting up and testing of new database and data handling systems and responsible for monitoring the database efficiency.

  • Install and manage database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

  • Develop/maintain disaster recovery plans.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Database issues.

  • Database Working with AWS to keep the database in latest patching and version.

  • SQL Tuning and Optimization of newly developed and existing applications.

  • Database recovery / duplication / restore by application requests.


  • At least 3 years of experience in database administration.

  • Experience in the following:

  1. IT Security - security hardening & automation.

  2. Windows scripting (PowerShell, vbScript and Shell Script).

  3. DBA related automation (puppet, open source, etc.).

  4. Database infrastructure and architecture design.

  5. Oracle Enterprise Manager.

  6. Executing and writing Oracle PL/SQL.

  7. Database optimization and performance tuning.

  8. Oracle product troubleshooting and problem resolution.

  9. Database HA setup using Oracle RAC/Dataguard, SQL Server Failover Cluster/AlwaysOn Availability Groups.

  10. Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

  11. Backup/Recovery and Patching.

  12. Working with Linux and Windows server, including Active Directory.

  13. CIS Compliance.

  14. AWS is a must.

Database Administrator

We are representing our client (a MNC Solution Provider) to look for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) who is a Certified Oracle Database Administrator and/or Microsoft SQL Administrator in administration and troubleshooting L1 and L2 database related issues, in a 24x7 enterprise setting.



  • Document daily checks and status update.

  • Develop and update DB documentation (including checklist, operations manual and relevant changes to configuration settings) and DR setup.

  • Report monthly on database size and DB Uptime and Performance.

  • Generate ad-hoc non-standard reports for incident/problem investigations, DB capacity planning or audit purposes.

Database Management

  • Create new DB creations, database network configuration, adhere to guidelines for database structures and file layout, review and enhance scripts and procedures, proper management of transaction and redo/archive logs.

  • Assist in database purging and collaborate with Solutions Team to define the purging policy.

  • Review daily on log irregularities and follow-up actions.

  • Maintain regular database maintenance schedules.

  • Monitor the performance to detect possible system anomalies.

  • Monitor backups, recovery and replication for successful completion.

  • Data Management.

  • Monitor object fragmentation, invalid objects and extent of failure detection.

  • Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) for all critical systems and ensure successful rebuilt of Production or DR servers, if necessary.

Incident/Problem Management

  • Incident detection and confirmation of production database systems including timely escalation to the Managed Helpdesk, and performing the DBA onsite services on physical database facilities, rectifying the incidents with root cause analysis in order to ensure permanent resolution.

  • Verify and validate databases backup, recovery and replication status.

  • Review, improve and document the database administration and operational guide on processes and procedures.

  • Work with clients, service desk and third-party solutions vendor to resolve disrupted service and rectify the database integrity for the users.

  • Assist the Operations and Project Lead on the issues related to database in daily operations or new projects implementation.


  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

  • At least 5 years of Oracle and SQL Database support administration.

  • Good understanding of a services business in a high tech environment from a supplier, integrator or operator’s perspective.

  • Experience in database backup and disaster recovery implementation.

  • Good knowledge of Windows and UNIX operating systems.

We are representing our client, a large Chinese Bank to look for an experienced Investment Advisor to expand their existing Private Banking business unit.

Job Description:

  • Management of Private Banking investors' portfolio allocation including but not limited to asset allocation monitoring and adjustment, direct communication to investors / Private Banking Relationship Managers on optimization strategies, macro and idiosyncratic risk reduction and cost efficient deployment of capital.

  • Trade ideation and structuring with counterparties from a solution based approach to achieve optimized advisory solutions that adds value to Private Banking Investors' portfolio.

  • Bridge over expertise of various counterparties in all asset classes to bring external value into Private Banking business via training, sharing and trade deployment.

  • Spearhead advisory activities on the ground to drive fee income, interest income and asset under management growth.

  • Originate and coordinate market writeups combining market excellence and analysis to existing portfolios.

  • Ensure full compliance to rules and regulations governing the business.

  • Keep abreast of market developments and opportunities and work closely with Product Managers and Private Banking Relationship Managers to establish salient portfolio channels.


  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience within the private banking industry.

  • Portfolio advisory experience with the Greater China clientele.

  • Experience in Multi-Asset Class Capital Market is necessary.

  • A network of Investment Banking / Collective Investment channels.

  • Excellent financial market and product knowledge.

  • Completed CACS Paper 1 & 2.
