Job Descriptions:


Teaching and Learning


• Prepare materials, apparatus and Science labs for the conducting of Science experiments including the Hydroponics system.


• Assist teachers in science-related activities in the lab during lessons if required.


Maintenance


• Ensure that the Science apparatus, equipment, teaching and learning resources are in serviceable conditions including reporting of damages to science level head and head of department.


• Administer the maintenance of the school eco-garden including reporting the conditions of the plants to science level head and head of department


• Arrange for feeding of fish in pond at eco-garden.


• Administer the maintenance of the Hydroponics system including reporting of damages and faults to science level head and head of department


• Assist the Science HOD in the monitoring of the inventory for Science apparatus, equipment, teaching and learning resources.


School events


• Assist teachers in preparation of activities for Environmental club and science-related events.


Working Location:

Working Hour:


• Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break


• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Requirements:


- Full GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level certificate or its equivalent


- Good communication and inter-personal skills


- Good team player with high level of initiative


- Preferably with relevant work experience in primary school laboratory

Job Descriptions:


1. To assist the Science Department in maintaining 4 science laboratories.

3. To liaise with companies for regular maintenance of the lab equipment.


4. To assist the Science department in the procurement of items required by the teachers for laboratory work.


5. To communicate effectively with teachers to prepare items/apparatus/equipment needed for the science practical examination, science performance task, teachers’ training workshop or any workshops conducted by the science department.


6. To assist teachers in troubleshooting equipment such as data loggers and microscopes during lessons.

1. General Admin Duties

2. Finance Duties


• Account for daily lost-and-found money / items in the respective record books.


• Assist the School Admin Team to collate / verify application forms and supporting documents for STSPMF / CDAC / FAS / Bursary etc.


3. Student Admin Duties


• Administer care to unwell students i.e. checking of temperature and informing / updating parents and Form Teachers.


• Process early dismissal of students during school hours.


• Issue lift passes for students with needs.


4. Printing Duties


• Print school-based assessment papers and adhoc printing requests submitted by teachers / HODs / School Leaders.

• Financial


 Management of School Management Committee (SMC) Financial matters


- Assist in the preparation of payment record form and the processing of payment


- Prepare receipt for collection of money and get School leaders to sign


- Maintain SMC Cashbook, prepare and coordinate with accountant on the Bank Reconciliation and Statement for SMC Accounts


- Assist to liaise with banks on any change of signatories for KCPSS account


- To manage and liaise with bank on Renewal of Fixed Deposit


 Work with office staff and teachers on payment status and follow-up actions to ensure that payments under the SMC account are made timely


• Human Resource Management / Student Matters


 Update of school staff list


 Monitor and maintain staff attendance register and submission of leave and MC documentation, teachers overseas trip update (filing and recording)


• General Services


 Responsible for sending out snail mail and keeping records


 Recording and Distribution of Mails/Delivery orders


 Covering duties of team members where necessary


 Monitor consumption, record and key in each canteen vendor’s electricity meters' reading on a monthly basis. Prepare electricity charges billing to canteen, printing services vendors, etc.


 Provides support for school events as required

• Procurement


 Bus booking coordinator - liaise with Transport Company on booking of buses, invoicing and feedback. Also to inform security guards of the bus order and checking to ensure monthly bills collates to our order.


 Helps to liaise/place order with companies based on school’s requirements


• Customer Management


 Responsible for the school concierge service counter. To handle telephone and walk-in enquiries on all school related matters.


 Responsible for manning School’s generic electronic mailbox and ensure all emails are replied within 3 days Turnaround time


• Any other adhoc tasks given by school management
