Roles & Responsibilities

A Para-Planner is a professional supporting role to an established Financial Services Director in helping to streamline, increase efficiency, smoothen and delight client experience as they make financial planning decisions with the financial services director.

A Para-planner provide complementary support functions in the full sales process, especially in areas of KYC data, Proposal Analysis, comparison, consolidation work and smooth new business activation process.

Job description:

  • Joint meetings with Director for client meetings for financial advisory.
  • Analyse gaps, needs analysis based on KYC, recommend and propose solutions.
  • Compare multiple insurer products features, benefits and limitations
  • Creating Portfolio summaries and investment position updates using vendor reports
  • Monitor client case onboarding and ensure successful case implementation
  • Do up presentation pitch, sales deck
  • Ensure proper documentation on KYC, and proper record keeping
  • Campaign creation and arranging existing client review and appointment setting


  • CMFAS Module 5/8/8A/9/9A/HI
  • Min. Diploma, or degree certificate
  • Fit and Proper, undischarged bankrupt as per Financial Advisory Act requirements, MAS.
  • Ability to work on Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Min 1 year experience in Bancassurance, Financial planning, FA role as sellers
  • Good understanding of Balanced Scorecard, FAA guidelines.
  • Good understanding of KYC fact finding principles that facilitates a compliant application submission pack.

Advantage if you have the following:

  • Creative usage of Instagram, Facebook
  • Good presentation deck skills to facilitate FSD on proposal presentation
  • AFP, AFC, ChFC, CFP qualification will be an advantage
