Job Description & Requirements

Plant Equipment Specialist/Mechanical Maintenance is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of all sites fleet and machinery. The individual will be responsible for the execution of preventive/predictive programs and corrective

maintenance solutions for all sites heavy equipment. The individual will be expected to work independently and make technical decisions and recommendations in the field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, coordinate and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls and inspections including corrective, preventative or predictive work - of the equipment including but not limited to:

1. Flash Butt Welder Machine

2. Road Rails Vehicle (RRV)

3. Sleepers Grab Manipulator

4. Windoff Tamping Unit

5. Hydraulic Excavator

6. Locomotive

7. Tamping Machine

8. Forklift

• Liaise with Operations Manager and HQ department with regard to machine stock for required servicing.

• Take ownership of the quality and condition of all T250A fleet and machinery to ensure it is always at its best with regard appearance, functionality and operation

• Plan and maintain a servicing and checking calendar in line with Fleet procedures and record and report against the calendar

• Carry out on-site inspection and follow-up repairs to machines

• Support root cause analysis program for major failures

• Drive resolution of highest impact issues with a strong sense of urgency and integrity.

• Work independently and make decisions based on full awareness of cost and other benefits

• Assure all safety regulations are followed and maintain clean and orderly work areas

• Support plant/maintenance operations as required 24/7.

• Inspect and check machines on a daily basis following the night shift operations (if required)
