Desktop Support Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Responding to end-user on support requests.
  • Contacting end-user to find out the nature of the problem.
  • Support assistance connecting via a remote link.
  • Troubleshooting desktop/laptop hardware component and software issues.
  • Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals, printers & scanners.
  • Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software. (Windows 10, antivirus and etc.)
  • Troubleshooting LAN networking and VPN connection issues.
  • Advising on software or hardware upgrades, and windows security patching.
  • Providing basic knowledge guide in computer operation and management.
  • Completing job status reports and ordering supplies.

Desktop Support Engineer Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or Support Technician.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
  • Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems.
  • Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to work after hours when necessary.
  • Physically fit as moving of equipment is expected
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
