The Restaurant Chef is a key role in ensuring guests come back regularly to enjoy the taste of the food. He/she will be responsible for serving food on-time & of very good quality. The job reports to the Executive Chef.
Job Responsibilities
•Responsible to plan for Chinese Cuisine menus and recipes with the Executive Chef & prepare recipe for new menu items.
•Plan, prepare and cook Chinese dishes in the menu (main and special/promotion dishes).
•Receive, store food items & materials from suppliers, do quality inspection at the time of receiving from supplier or from staff directly bought from the market
•Plan raw material inventory, maintain raw material safety stock & minim stock quantity.
•Assist General Manager in purchasing raw materials.
•Maintain high standards of food safety, food quality, and food hygiene.
Key Requirements
•3+ years of working experience in authentic Chinese Zhi Char and sea food cuisine
•Ability to work in multi cuisine kitchen & restaurant environment.
•Understanding of menu and recipe development techniques
•Spoken english is essential
