Job Purpose


You are responsible for leading the Cloud Adoption within Great Eastern Life Cloud which would include the migration of applications to their end state in Cloud. It will also include the architecting and designing comprehensive Cloud solutions that meet the objective of the application migration, aligning to business and technology strategy. You will need to partner with GE stakeholders and external stakeholders to conduct analysis and disposition the application and infrastructure landscape, implement the migration and new services in GE Cloud. You will drive GE technical initiatives across all GE entities (Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia) to ensure the technical solution is aligned with the Cloud and Application reference architecture.


The Job


· Be a pillar and the technical lead of the Cloud Adoption team who will be the subject matter expert in application and infrastructure analysis, disposition and migration to the end state of the application in GE Cloud. It will also include the design and implementation of new and enhanced GE Cloud services to enable Cloud adoption.


· Lead the application migration leveraging on automation programs and tools enabling the continuous integration and deployment of the applications through DevSecOps pipeline to the various environments.


· Lead the creation of Cloud new services and capabilities via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) including design, implementation, integration and verification test plan.


· Develop, recommend and advocate target Cloud and application reference architecture, security, vision and processes.


· Analyze and evaluate business and technical need, product capabilities, and cost benefit required for solution and makes realistic recommendations.


· Identify opportunities to leverage technology synergies to save costs and improve efficiencies.


· Initiate innovative technology to capture new technical and business value.


· Provide thought leadership and to fellow team members across business and technical project dimensions solving complex technical and business requirements.

Our Requirements


· Minimum of 15 years of technical experience in Infrastructure platform, Applications development and IT operations system support roles.


· Minimum of 10 years of experience in project implementation in technologies solutions.


· Experience in system migration to Private and Public Clouds.


· Experience with Cloud-based services, architecture and enterprise implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)


· Experience with implementation of distributed solutions in a secured multi-tier heterogeneous environment.


· Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps, Configuration as Code, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD implementation.


· Strong understanding of cloud/enterprise and application architecture design patterns.


· Strong understanding of networking some associated technologies, including LAN/WAN, OSI, TCP/IP, File Transfer Protocols, Telnet and Secure Shell, Load balancer, Domain Name System, and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, among others.


· Strong understanding of security E.g. web vulnerability, native apps security, authentication mechanism, session management, application-level encryption, PKI, application signing, etc.


· Worked with Agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.


· Strong understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis and design, and/or client/server systems.


· Worked in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environment with strong appreciation of change/version control process and methodologies.


· Knowledge of emerging technologies/platforms in Mobility, Analytics, Cloud and Social with a strong self-initiative to keep up with Digital trends.


· Working experience in a financial services industry and/or operating under strict regulatory constraints is an advantage.


· Demonstrate leadership ability and a strong problem solver with ability to see things in multiple angles, constantly challenge the norm and constantly looking for better solutions to problems.


· Strong presenter to articulate differentiated value to a wide range of audiences.


· Able to make judgements calls in a fast-changing environment with limited or ambiguous information.


· Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology.


· Demonstrates alignment with the organisation’s core values through expected behaviours.


· High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.


· Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
