Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Manufacturing/ Wholesales
• Position Title: Lab Assistant (Food Ingredients)
• Working Location: Loyang
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am – 6.15 pm; One Saturday (half day) in a month (9 am – 12.30 pm)
• Salary Package: Up to $2300 + Lunch provided + Variable Bonus
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing production samples for QA/QC manager sensory evaluation and submit sensory report (for specific products)
• Prepare and courier samples for external lab testing
• Perform lab testing e.g. pH, density (for specific products)
• Weighing and blending of ingredients for sample preparation
• Maintain retained samples library
• Support lab testing operations and maintain laboratory equipment
• Maintain lab housekeeping cleanliness standards, observe safety requirements and Good Laboratory Practices
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirement

• Minimum NITEC in Food Science/ Chemistry or related fields
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
• Experience in lab environment/ quality control systems would be a bonus
