JD Operations: Ops Planning and Implementation

The Networked Trade Platform Office (NTPO) in Singapore Customs drives the development and implementation of the Networked Trade Platform (NTP) initiatives.  - https://www.customs.gov.sg/businesses/national-single-window/networked-trade-platform

 

Job brief

You will play a key role in designing and optimising NTP’s process and operations to drive digital transformation in trade. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop procedures and IT processes to achieve operational excellence. 

 

Responsibilities

•              Identify opportunities for improvements, digitalisation and automation of NTP’s workflows and processes

•              Review and streamline NTP work processes, develop procedures (SOPs), policies and standards

•              Work closely with various teams (e.g. programmes, policy, IT colleagues) to specify requirements for new platform services and ensure smooth implementation.

•              Monitor the usage of NTP and analyse usage statistics and patterns, compile accurate reports for senior management

•              Plan and conduct outreach to NTP users to optimise their usage of NTP

•              Any duties as assigned 

Requirements

•               Relevant experience in customer service and a strong empathy for customers’ journey

•               Knowledge of trade-related process would be an advantage

•               Possess Systems-level thinking, is meticulous and detailed-oriented. Able to focus on systems level outcome while working processes at the detailed operational levels.

•               Some interest and/or knowledge in IT, particularly digital data standards, structures and how data is shared across systems

•               Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

•               Able to handle multiple projects at the same time and work under pressure

•               Creative and willing to challenge status quo

•               Ability to work well with a team
