The Networked Trade Platform Office (NTPO) in Singapore Customs drives the development and implementation of the Networked Trade Platform (NTP) initiatives.  -


Job Description

As a programme and outreach executive, your role is to identify and grow the NTP’s suite of digital trade services and network of cross-border digital connectivity. You will identify and engage internal and external stakeholders in Singapore and abroad to digitise and redesign trade-related transactions for the benefit of the ecosystem and to support Singapore’s trade competitiveness. 

You will identify, plan, co-design the development, and drive the adoption of new and innovative digital trade transactions in regulatory or commercial processes. You will also be involved in identifying and implementing data sharing and data reuse initiatives in trade.


•              Identify opportunities for process, product or policy improvements, digitalisation and automation of workflows and processes

•              Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan the change

•              Identify challenges and success factors in the change journey and take these into account when planning and implementing the digitalisation for various stakeholders

•              Collaborate with stakeholders to implement, monitor and track the performance of digitalisation initiatives

•              Plan and conduct outreach to targeted end users groups

•              Any duties as assigned


•                     Some experience in the public sector in policy and programme design, and process innovation is preferred.

•                     Prior experience in trade-related transactions would be an advantage.

•                     Strong policy instinct and entrepreneurial mindset. Able to spot opportunities for innovation and improvement at both the process and systems levels.

•                     Excellent communicator and has good collaborative skills, with a proven track record in starting, managing and successfully completing projects involving stakeholders with differing interests.

•                     Relevant experience and working knowledge of more than one trade and trade-related industry or process (e.g. logistics, trade finance, supply chain management, etc) would be an advantage
