The most important role of our team members is to deliver a WOW & UPLIFTING Little Farms Hospitality Experience experience for our customers. The team creates a fun, warm and friendly shopping experience throughout the store by sharing their product knowledge and enthusiasm with our customers; helping to answer questions, offering suggestions and walking our customers to the products they are searching for. Every one of our team members ensures our customers know that they are always welcomed and cared for here at Little Farms.

Role of Retail Associate:

  • Assigned to the following tasks based on daily operation needs of the store:

  1. Customer Experience team

  2. Product Specialist team

  3. Store Opening team

  4. Store Closing team

  • Engages our customers by:

  1. Greeting and welcoming them; making eye contact, smiling and saying hello

  2. Educating self about products in order to best able to share this knowledge

  3. Answering questions and proactively assisting customers find the products they are searching for

  4. Offering suggestions for meals and entertainment based on our products

  5. Operate the cash register in a fun yet efficient manner, while being respectful of our customers' time

  6. Helping to bag the groceries purchased with care

  7. Able to assist customers out to their vehicles if or when required

  8. Promptly reverting back to our customers who have questions that require follow-up

  • Prepares the store for our customers by:

  1. Receiving, unloading and verifying deliveries

  2. Ensuring visual merchandising is up-to-date by stocking shelves, regular rotation of products and recording unsaleable items

  3. Building eye-catching informative visual merchandising displays

  4. Exercising proper food handling procedures

  5. Making the store shine - cleaning of floors, bathrooms, break rooms when required

  6. Collecting shopping carts and performing appropriate store maintenance and upkeep

  • Works as a team by:

  1. Being friendly, courteous and respectful of fellow team members by having a positive, can-do attitude

  2. Working with a sense of urgency within designated time frames

  3. Proactively contribute in discovering and sharing of ways to improve processes

  4. Arriving to work on time, and ready to go at the start of shift

  5. Understands the importance of safety while performing all duties. Additional duties may even include performing role of Duty Manager (depending on experience and performance), functioning as the Manager on duty

Experience & Skills:

  • Able to work all facets of retail operations, including cashiering, handling customer queries and complaints, and maintenance of cleanliness

  • Able to stand on feet for long hours; may be required to lift large amounts of stock

  • Knowledge of inventory techniques will be advantageous

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced retail environment will be good to have but not required

  • Customer-oriented, confident, friendly, and engaging environment

  • Able to work as part of a sales team and under pressure

  • Able to work weekends and public holidays (5 day roster)

Part-Time role also available (minimum $12 an hour)
